Never before as in this year have the US presidential elections aroused so much curiosity as well as concern around the world. In order to better understand the major issues at the center of the confrontation between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, Nomisma and SAIS Bologna Europe are organizing two round tables.
On October 26, at the SAIS Europe premises in Bologna, there will be a discussion about the American political situation and the scenarios that might emerge after the November 8 election, with speakers including James Mann, European and Eurasian Studies Program Scholar-in-Residence SAIS, David Unger, Adjunct Professor of American Foreign Policy of SAIS Europe and Erik Jones, Director of European and Eurasian Studies, Professor of European Studies and International Political Economy of SAIS.
The November 3 event to be held in Nomisma’s Conference Hall, Palazzo Davia Bargellini, will focus on economic and trade issues, with speakers including Graziella Bertocchi, Professor of Economics, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Michael G. Plummer, Director and Eni Professor of International Economics of SAIS Europe, and Filippo Taddei, Director, Bologna Institute for Policy Research, SAIS Europe. Andrea Goldstein, Nomisma’s Managing Director is moderating the debate.
