Appraisal of integrative public transport services in low demand areas and project of reorganisation of services in the area of Parma (Emilia-Romagna region, Italy)
Feasibility study of the delivery of local public transport services in a low demand area of the Parma region. Alternative options have been recommended on the following basis: (1) collection of European projects on demand responsive transport services (DRTS) and benchmarking analysis of European and Italian case studies; (2) survey of the potential demand for on-demand services and on the willingness to pay for such services; (3) analysis of the transport behaviour of the resident population of the area and appraisal of the potential demand generated by the area; (3) cost-revenue analysis of the service and definition of the break-even point, with or without a contribution from the Regional Administration.
