Milan - As part of the national event of the Compagnia delle Opere, a Sharing Lab dedicated to the community of businesses that intend to make a contribution to reconstruction (not just building) will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 5:00 pm. The lab will address some key issues.

How to start over and how to rebuild after the violent earthquakes that hit the center of Italy? What will be the role of businesses in the construction sector? How to turn reconstruction into development opportunities for everyone? Entrepreneurs and professionals will debate the current post-earthquake situation by contributing their experiences and looking for possible synergies.

Marco Marcatili, Head of Development of the Real Estate Territory and Environment Unit will be participating on behalf of Nomisma.

Jesi - With what strategic vision can a city-territory face future challenges? With what planning actions and (new) subjectivity does one intend to implement the vision of the future? These are the questions raised by Jesi's Wide Area Development Plan, which has followed an open process of collecting and analyzing data, consultations of the public and operational groups, shared knowledge with members of the civic, business and institutional communities of the Vallesina area. "Jesi in progress" thus becomes the strategic framework for all possible territorial initiatives and this meeting is an opportunity to present the strategic guidelines of the Plan to the city as well as to share the ways in which each stakeholder (individual citizens, associations, businesses) can continue to make a contribution over the coming months.

22 April 2016 – AUDIS member meeting

Bologna, Nomisma Conference Hall – Nomisma, member of AUDIS (Association of Disused Urban Areas), is hosting the annual meeting of the Association.
Beginning this year, in addition to performing the necessary administrative tasks, the Assembly seeks to become an occasion for allowing members to get to know each other better, both in terms of each other’s competences and with regard to projects in which it might be useful to join forces in order to achieve success. For this year the topic of European projects that are directly managed under the 2014-2020 programming framework has been selected, providing two occasions for information sharing:

  • an initial information phase, during which several lines of funding directly managed by the European Commission in the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy are presented;
  • the second phase describes project ideas proposed by members or by the AUDIS working group, with the aim of verifying the possibility to bring together the competencies and strategic objectives of the members in order to achieve common goals.

Rome, at 9:00 – Marco Marcatili, Nomisma’s economist, is speaking at the final Conference “The development of social dialogue at local level”.

The initiative, through the exchange of experiences and good practices among the unions of the main European capitals (Athens, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome), aims to strengthen and valorise the role of the territorial union as a key player in the local governance of the five cities.

Moreover, it aims at further deepening on the union’s role as a proactive subject in the local public services models of management debate (local public transport, water supply and waste management) and identifying some lines of development related to social dialogue and to the second level negotiation in local public services (LPS) as key areas for the community and for the welfare of the territory.
