Sebbene rappresentino meno del 10% delle imprese agricole italiane, quelle condotte da giovani fino a 35 anni mostrano performance economiche doppie della media, con valori della produzione vicini a 100 mila euro per azienda contro i 45 mila della media del settore. Gestiscono imprese mediamente più strutturate (20 ettari contro gli 11 della media nazionale) e diversificate, grazie ad un approccio al mercato più innovativo e tecnologico che permette loro (in particolare a chi non proviene da una famiglia di agricoltori) di superare le alte barriere all’ingresso nel settore, prima fra tutte l’elevato costo del terreno.

Nomisma - in collaboration with the University of Bologna – is applying a multi-disciplinary approach to investigate all of the dimensions of gambling among young people.
During the school year, a direct survey was conducted in high schools and involved the participation of more than 10,000 students between the ages of 14 and 19.
The Observatory on the behavior of young people in gambling is supported by the Unipol project "For play. Not for gambling"
The results of the Gambling & Young people - Young Millennials Monitor are being presented on January 23 at the Nomisma Meeting Hall (Strada Maggiore, 44 - Bologna).
STEFANO BONACCINI, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, ENRICO COSTA, Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies, and PIERLUIGI STEFANINI, Unipol Group President, are speaking at the event.

Currently Nomisma is in the process of contacting the directors of several Italian secondary schools, requesting their availability for involvement in the 2017 surveys.

23 May 2017 - Bologna for sport

Bologna, Multipurpose Hall of the Savena District, 6:00 pm - The event launches the process that will lead to the first Strategic Plan for Sport of the city of Bologna and will be an occasion for officially presenting the results of the study on the state of health of city facilities and for conducting a debate on the priorities to be addressed.

Bologna, Nomisma Conference Hall, at 2:00 PM - The Association of Journalists, in collaboration with Nomisma, is organising the seminar "There is gaming and gaming".
Specifically designed for registered journalists, the seminar presents an overview of the issues during five hours of classroom training, delivered by three alternating instructors. Aimed at an audience of non-experts, the seminar seeks to provide essential, yet verifiable information presented in lay language.

Given the success of the Young Millennials Monitor – Gambling and Youth 2015 Edition  (involving the participation of 14,000 students from 130 schools across Italy), Nomisma attaches great value to being able to build a panel of schools interested in cooperating actively in new surveys on youth behavior in gambling or other issues that are useful in defining their lifestyles (alcohol consumption, financial literacy, role of the Internet and new social media, ...).

Nomisma is in the process of contacting the principals of several Italian secondary schools in order to request their availability to be involved in the 2016 survey.

Nomisma, in the framework of its research and economic consulting activities, has always been committed to providing a contribution to the interpretation of the economic and social transformations of our country.

It is in this perspective that, since 2009 Nomisma’s Observatory on Gambling & Youngsters aims at ensuring continuous monitoring of the economic and regulatory structure as well as the dynamics of the various gambling segments, together with the detection of teenager’s’ behaviours and relationships with the gambling world.

Today, with Gambling & Youngsters - Young Millennials Monitor, the Observatory shows two innovative factors.

First, the multi-disciplinary approach to the phenomenon. Nomisma has indeed launched a partnership with the University of Bologna to explore all the dimensions of the gambling phenomenon.

Second, a single database that allows to track the gambling habits and behaviour of youngsters.

During the school year 2014/2015 it has been developed, in fact, a survey that has involved high schools and the participation of over 13,000 youngsters, aged between 14 and 19 years.

The results of Gambling & Youngsters - Young Millennials Monitor will be presented on July 1 (11:00 am) at Nomisma’s Conference Hall (Strada Maggiore, 44 – Bologna - Italy).

Stefano Bonaccini, President of the Emilia Romagna Region, will participate at the event.

The presentation of the results will be followed by a panel discussion with privileged speakers focused on encouraging the debate and aiming at outlining possible policy interventions.

The event is open and free until all places available have been filled. Confirmation of participation is welcomed.
