23 March 2017 - #UrbanForesight

During March 23 and 24, the headquarters of the CNR Research Center (via Alfonso Corti 12) in Milan will host the #UrbanForesight Working Seminar, organized by ITC-CNR in collaboration with SECI Real Estate and Mare Culturale Urbano under the patronage of AUDIS. #UrbanForesight takes place over two days of activities characterized by complementary objectives and organizational modes and intends to explore future, desirable or realistic urban scenarios over the next 20-30 years. On the one hand, the Seminar will investigate the potential for scientific and technological research whose implementation could play an enabling role in the identified scenarios, and, on the other hand, the actions and tools that need to be adopted in order to overcome systemic difficulties. Toward this end, the seminar involves actors who have faced these obstacles in different capacities (researchers, entrepreneurs, decision-makers, activists) and have undertaken paths of reflection or experimentation in order to understand how to overcome the barriers.

Jesi - With what strategic vision can a city-territory face future challenges? With what planning actions and (new) subjectivity does one intend to implement the vision of the future? These are the questions raised by Jesi's Wide Area Development Plan, which has followed an open process of collecting and analyzing data, consultations of the public and operational groups, shared knowledge with members of the civic, business and institutional communities of the Vallesina area. "Jesi in progress" thus becomes the strategic framework for all possible territorial initiatives and this meeting is an opportunity to present the strategic guidelines of the Plan to the city as well as to share the ways in which each stakeholder (individual citizens, associations, businesses) can continue to make a contribution over the coming months.
